The Simple Woman's Daybook

For... Wednesday, October 21st, 2009
Outside my window... the sky is gray, the fields are brown, and the trees are turning golden and rusty orange.
I am thinking... about how much Ilike it up here on our little farm with my dear husband and sweet baby.
I am thankful ... to be alive, for love, joy, and contentment.
From the kitchen... six jars of pear butter freshly canned and a load of tomatoes in the dehydrator.
I am wearing... my denim skirt, a yellow flowered button up shirt and my tan sweater.
I am creating... a pleasant and comfortable home.
I am going... to make dinner and to straighten up a few things
I am reading... books about babies.
I am hoping... to try some new recipes tommorrow.
I am hearing... the fire crackling in the woodstove and some Irish fiddle music.
Around the house... baby things... a swing, a blanket on the floor. the carseat ready for the next outing.
One of my favorite things... A sweet sleeping baby in my arms.
A few plqans for the rest of the week... dry pears and mor tomatoes, mmake pear sauce and bread.

This is starting to look like a baby blog. But there are so many cute pictures of him. This past week he has started smiling. I finally got a good picture, so here it is.

The Boys

My dad and brother came up after David was born and stayed one day. They were glad to be able to meet the little guy.
